How it works

From Athens to Prague. And back again.

Greek Courier is a parcel transport service between Greece and Central Europe. Every Thursday, or every other Thursday, a cargo vehicle leaves Athens and travels via Thessaloniki, Sofia, Budapest, Bratislava and Brno all the way to Prague. On Saturday it heads back along the same route. In both directions you can use its capacity to send or receive almost anything, anywhere along this route.

One loop, four days

  1. Thursday

    Leaves Athens

The vehicle sets off from Athens and picks up parcels in Lamia, Larissa, Katerini and Thessaloniki on the way.

  2. Friday

    Prague around midday

Via Sofia, Timișoara, Budapest, Bratislava and Brno it reaches Prague around midday. Parcels from Greece are ready for collection.

  3. Saturday

    Leaves Prague

Loaded with new parcels, the vehicle heads back from Prague along the same route.

  4. Sunday

    Back in Athens

Parcels are handed over at the stops along the way down to Athens. The next loop starts the following Thursday or two weeks later.

Times are approximate and depend on traffic along the route. You will always find the exact date of each departure in the booking form.

How to pack your shipment properly

  • Use sturdy packaging suited to the weight and type of the item.
  • Fill any empty space and protect corners and fragile parts. The contents must not move around inside the packaging.
  • Seal the packaging securely and remove any old shipping labels.
  • Weigh and measure each item, and label it with the order number and the recipient’s contact details.
  • For multiple items, number them in sequence, e.g. 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3.

A “fragile” label is no substitute for protective packaging. Please check with us before booking if you want to ship liquids, food, valuables, dangerous goods or unusual items.
